To continue to retain Spain’s position as the number-one outbound destination for UK market.

Our Approach

LOTUS worked on a strategy of evolution and innovation focusing on the Spanish Tourist Office’s key pillars and initiatives and devising activity that challenges perceptions and pushes boundaries.

We devised Spain Talks – a bilateral in-person summit, harnessing senior tourism stakeholders and decision-makers from the UK and Spain. The annual event discusses the key industry challenges and is designed to bring together the leading players to ensure Spain’s future as a sustainable tourism destination. The Summit also sees the leading sustainable and Spanish-focused media celebrated with a dedicated awards ceremony closing the day.

Alongside Spain’s focus on sustainability is the objective to develop Spain into the most inclusive and accessible tourism destination. From this ‘Spain for All’ has been created – a mandate and roadmap to bring together advisors and change-makers to support Spain on its journey to ensure inclusivity. LOTUS secured an advisory committee led by Ade Adepitan, TV presenter, wheelchair basketball player and disability advocate to guide the STO and stakeholders on best-practice, measurable steps and the journey to accessibility. The committee now has a clear plan of intention and is gaining support from stakeholders throughout the value-chain to ensure changes and positive steps are made throughout every element of the destination experience.
